Recipe Keepsake holder

This is a simple box that measures about 5 x 7. I couldnt find my velcro at the time so I just made a belly band to fit it and I really like how it turned out.

Believe it or not this paper started out pink, but after enough destressing ink it looks perfectly vintage which is a wonderful thing to me!

I thought I would add some recipes (some easy and some of B's favorites too) and then give it to her when she gets married and starts cooking on her own.

She has already spied the box and loves it and asked me to add some other recipes to it. (like enchiladas, bbq baked chicken and others!!)

A new haircut!!

Britty got her haircut so I decided it was time for me to cut off all of mine!! It was really grown out and sooooo thick, I was just ready for something easier!! (and cooler!)

I decorated 2 cakes!!!

This is my first attempt 'EVER' at decorating a cake!! I cant tell you how many mistakes there are, but believe me, there are MANY!! I had so much fun decorating this cake I couldnt wait to do another one! This is the second attempt at decorating! I will have to admit that this one was a lot harder than the first, but I think it turned out fine! I can see a lot of mistakes when I look at the picture, but I will just use that as a reference for when I decorate the next one!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my cakes!! I am an extreme amature at this but I did enjoy it. I also enjoyed eating them!! They were yummy!! Gotta love that home made buttercream icing!!

First Layout of 2009!!

I took a while making this layout. I was having a hard time deciding what I wanted and this is how it ended up.

My Christmas Tree!!

I LOVE CHRISTMAS TIME!!

It usually takes me about a day and a half or two days to decorate my tree. This year my dear hubby spent about 8 hours helping me and it was finished in 10 hours!! That is a record! There are SO many decorations on this tree that you dont have to space them out. You just put an ornament on EVERY branch or sometimes 2 ornaments and that is it! Hubby rolls his eyes at me a bit since I am kind of anal about the way the tree needs to look. It pretty much looks the same every year, but I do tend to change the color of the tulle and ribbon every year or two.

Christmas Planner

This is the outside of the planner. I used puff paint for the roof, chimney and windows. I added glossy accents to the windows. There are tiny glass beads on the roof and chimney top.This is the inside of the book. Yes, it is a little bulky, but I like that uneven and bulky look.This is one of my favorite dividers. I love the lace and all the glass beads.Last page in book

Mickey Collage LO

Have you ever needed a way to use several pics that just didnt have a home of their own? I have tons of those and this LO was a perfect way to use quite a few of those!

I really like the way this one turned out. I cut the Mickey head shape by hand and stuck the photos to it then trimmed it and added the black mat.

Happy Birthday Card

This card was very simple actually. I did spend quite a bit of time coloring the image with the Prismacolors and using the baby oil.

Simple Welcome Baby Card

Here is a very simple card I made. I love using the Cuttlebug and the Swiss Dots folder is the greatest! I also used the Fiskars Threading Water punch on the bottom of the card.

New Goodies!!!

Last night while shopping at walmart, we walked down the craft isle and I saw these punches. I just 'had' to have them!! I am still looking for a 1 1/2 inch circle punch and a 1 3/4 scalloped circle punch. Maybe I will happen upon them sometime, until then I will 'play' with these!

Cocktails Waterfall Card

I just bought the $1.00 stamps at Michales about 3 days ago and wanted to use them, so I thought a waterfall card would be the perfect way to try them out!!

Candy Boxes

These little boxes are the perfect size for the small Kit Kat bars and other treats!! This is another creation of chicnscratch. I love making these little goodies. This one was a little more tricky because the outside didnt want to fit perfectly after it was scored! It could have been because some of the measurements were in 16ths. ;)

Celebrate Tag Box

Just a little Tag box with some tags. Another very simple box, but I love the colors even with no designer paper!! I will have to say that the white gel pen is just an awesome little tool!!

I found the instructions for this somewhere on the net. Can I just say that, this box is awesome!! I love it!

It really wasnt hard to make and it makes a big statement. I made this box for someone very special. I hope she enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it!
